Mediterranean Lamb

Mediterranean LambFirstly, I am just testing posting things as Jamie has actually given me the chance to add things to this site (which is surprisingly good!) So I thought that I would show you what me and our dad cooked a few weeks ago.

As you can see, it looks very nice and in fact it was! Definitely worth a try! It is really based on a Jamie Oliver recipe but we added a bit more to it and cooked it in a slightly different way. So if you want to make this appealing and very easy meal then follow these easy steps.

First you crush 1 clove of garlic and add that to a little oil in a wok or saucepan. Add in some chopped onion (we used rather large bits of onion but you can dice it if you aren’t the biggest fan) After the onion  and garlic have sweated a bit add some diced lamb, chopped red pepper, mushrooms and tomato purée (1 tbsp). Then add a tin of plum tomatoes in (about 400g) along with a tsp of ground chilli paste. Try the sauce and add any seasoning you may want or add more chilli if you like it hot! Finally, put it in a deep dish and chuck in the oven at 150 C/300 F/gas 2 for about 2 hours.

When ready you can serve as above with cous cous and a side salad or as we did, serve with mediterranean style rice and boiled potatoes. It was a brilliant meal which everyone enjoyed and would recommend highly to anyone who enjoys easy meals.

Please let us know if you make this and what you thought. I hope you all enjoy! :-)
